Here at Rope Services Direct Ltd, we take the quality, safety, and efficiency of our products extremely seriously. We have decades of experience within the industry, and all of our products are rigorously tested before we put them up for sale to the customer. However, it is necessary for any piece of equipment or product to comply with certain standards and guidelines. In this article we discuss the importance of the webbing slings Standards BSEN 1492:1 and 1492:2 for our webbing slings.
Webbing Slings Standards- BSEN 1492:1
The two standards apply to different things, and BSEN 1492:1 relates to flat woven webbing slings that are intended for general purpose use, such as the general lifting of objects. It applies to any flat woven webbing sling that is made of polyamide, polyester, and polypropylene, has or does not have end fittings, and that is within a width range of 25mm to 450mm. To conform to this European Standard, all flat woven webbing slings should be stored at the following temperatures:- Polyester - -40 degrees to 100 degrees
- Polyamide - -40 degrees to 100 degrees
- Polypropylene - -40 degrees to 80 degrees
