However, it differs in that it contains an inner core around which these 6 strands are woven, usually in an equal lay construction. This inner core is typically made from either fibre or wire rope itself. If so, you will find that this inner core also contains a similar numbered construction, such as 7×7, meaning 7 bundles of 7 strands.
